Things i will never understand...

  • tennis shoes and skirts. This combo is yucky.
  • when people let their dogs like their mouths. seriously. dogs lick their yuckies.
  • necco waffers. This is like crunchy chalk candy.
  • people who post their "woe is my life" storys on facebook. lots of people have problems. I am sick of reading about yours... everyday... on the Internet.
  • dumb chemistry and all of its dumb hardness.
neat.

Remember when...

Remember when sometime I take tests for Patho and Pharm on the same day and afterwards, I ask myself..."Why are you doing this again"?

Remember when my brain feels like mushy oatmeal and I think it's going to come out of my ears at any given moment if I turn my head to quickly.

Remember when I was supposed to be blogging about my nursing school journey and... I fail.

Remember when my dog got a butch cut. Or as Sha-nay-nay would say "She ain't got no hurr anymores".

Remember when I can't even wait for this weekend. Conference weekend is the best!

Remember when one day Jason is going to finally finish his car and sell it. That will be a blessed day indeed.

Remember when nursing students get rolling crates and rolling bags instead of rolling backpacks and it is equally illegal. just sayin.

Remember when I want to sleep for 7 years.

Happy Day.

dead fish and nurses

Captain Hook died last night. He/she/shim was Hayden's pet for the last 1 year and 4 months. I bought shim for Hayden's 3rd birthday. Props to Jacque for keeping shim alive for 1 year and 4 months. It was greatly unexpected.

On another note, I got accepted to nursing school. No, not nursing for dead fish. Nursing for real people. I am soooooo excited but a little scared. This is finally it. I could be done with school forever in 2 years (and then 9 months of online courses to get my bachelors). This is real. I might die.

well, Im off to get a chest x ray to make sure my Tuberculosis exposure doesn't come back and kill the nation. Thanks a lot Snow college 2008.

That's all.
The End.

lose one, gain one

One time last Wednesday, we found a baby cat in Jason's parents back yard. It looked like death so I was just going to leave it there. But then Jason, the big softie, decided we needed to take it home. So we brought it home. Then, it died the next day.
It was super sick. I was a sad panda.
So that night we got a puppy.
It didn't die at all.
It is like having a baby.... a very small harry baby.

Now we are dog parents. And I never thought this day would come.

P.S.
remember when I really liked the name willow and then I said it outloud and thought of this...

and now I don't like that name anymore.
KthanksBye.

sad panda...

One time, I had to go to the Forrest to assist my sister with her children's glamour shots. She also recruited my oldest niece to assist. Don't ask me why we were both needed (it's not like she's 8 months pregnant or anything). So, i thought i was being super smart by leaving my purse in the car- as to not cause any more damage to my dead shoulder(30 pound purse=dead arm). So i put my phone in a target bag which was holding a bubble machine. Then my social life ended because my phone basically took a bubble bath. NEAT.
Then, my niece almost died because she got a sliver the size of a toothpick. I was trying to use my excellent CNA skills and I was digging out the sliver with a safety pin (still in the Forrest) when the said child getting his glamour shots done ran up to her and pushed her over. Then her hand fell off. Well, almost. She got some more slivers and lost some chunks of skin.
***The worst part of this whole traumatic experience; I was wearing a knee length skirt and running shoes the whole time because it's really difficult to tromp around a forest in stilettos.
cell phone + bubbles = death.
The End.

Friday lessons...

lesson 1:

Marriage does not = pregnancy.
So you could probably stop asking me at every church function if i am expecting. I am just going to start telling people yes when they ask. Then after 9 months, I will just keep telling them Yes,  I am still pregnant.

lesson 2:

If you choose to drive slow, move to the right lane. I do not want to partake in a leisurely Sunday drive every afternoon as I am going home. I may or may not have road rage. I may or may not tailgate you... and you may or may not work with me... in the same department.

Lesson 3:

Taking the shopping cart from the store to your home is considered theft.

Lesson 4:

when you push a shopping cart around my neighborhood and fill it with tamale's and a jug full of punch and then try to sell it, it makes me a tad bit scared.

Lesson 5:

I fully believe that if you are driving and happen to do something almost illegal, such as run a partial red light; you should definitely say out loud, " illegal, illegal, illegal" while you are running the partial red light and then you wont get in trouble.

Lesson 6:

Either my "work" mother has a most generous heart, or she thinks I am starving my husband because she just brought in a roast and slapped it down on my desk and gave me instructions on how to prepare it. it's a good thing we have refrigerators at work. Raw roast at desk= success in achieving creeper status for the week.

SO WHAT IF NEW YEAR'S HAS ALREADY PAST.

I think it's perfectly ok to start a new list of goals on a Thursday afternoon in April. Maybe if I make it a goal to write about my goals every week (or even better, every day...) then i will actually achieve some of them?
I should probably take some pictures too. That would be lovely.

On a side note...

Have you ever wondered how important eyebrows are?

Thats all.

Coveting...

Sometimes I have envious thoughts about people who own dishwashers. Never in my life would I have ever thought I would be saying that. Wow. I feel really old now.

The End.
